This kids is so damn lucky. My parents used to ground me for a month every time I got caught with cigarettes. Some parent are just sooo freakin cool!! Just think of the money they’ll save when he dies at age 10.

More strange news from Asia – This reminds me of the time I was visiting my Aunt and Uncle in Massachusetts. We bought some lobsters, named them and played with them on the kitchen floor before we boiled them and ate them. Strange.

The sale of the dishes has caused outrage since it was reported by the Legal Daily newspaper earlier this week, with conservationists condemning the practice.

“It is utterly inappropriate for a zoo to sell such items,” said Ge Rui of the International Fund for Animal Welfare. “One of the zoo’s missions is to foster love of animals and a desire to protect them. I saw that story about the 2 year old SMOKING yesterday and refused to watch the video, unfortunately, The Early show had it on this morning and I watched in absolute HORROR. It was so sad. That little fat baby smoked a cigarette better than I can – puff after puff. I’m sure that’s all he does is sit there and smoke cigarettes ALL DAY – 2 packs a day. No wonder he screams when you don’t give him one. Isn’t there a child protective services in Indonesia? I guess I know the answer to that!

At least my mom waited till I was 15 to give me cigarettes. Yep. Actually got a carton in the ol’ Christmas stocking. My mom… what a gal. Can’t be too hard on her though. This was before there ever even was a surgeon general.

When I first saw that video I was hoping that the kid was actually 40 and that smoking stunted his growth. Because that would actually be ironic on some level.

I can’t help but think that the parents are looking to make a buck on the media buzz. Life is cheap in many parts of the world as are standards in parenting.
