I had sort of a mixed upbringing. Fairly strict when I was really young to all most no restraints as a teenager. I too was “lead” to watch Little House and the Walton’s. But I loved ‘em so it didn’t matter! I didn’t get cable until I was an adult. I only ate cereal with no sugar, by choice. OR at least it seemed that way. My mom was good with the reverse psychology!

As far as the stories about extreme punishments…what in the hell is wrong with these people? They ought to lock up the adults!

I wasn’t allowed to eat sugar cereal when I was a kid either, but I could watch all the TV I wanted. I cannot even BELIEVE these children arrested stories! I am in complete shock! And, if you can be arrested for FARTING? Then I should be serving Life In Prison!

We were never restricted but then we only had one TV and since my mother watched from 6pm until 10:30 pm we never got to watch it. We were allowed to watch anything we wanted but we didn’t have cable back then and only had four channels to choose.

Why did she put the phone in her butt?

Kids today, what’s the matter with these crazy kids ?
some of these incidents I’ve heard of but some are just extreme.

My parents were pretty strict raising us, well mostly my dad. In the end we didn’t suffer any permanent damage and turned out fine. I didn’t want to be that super strict, mom either. I think I went a little too far the other way. I was occassionall a bit of a pushover but again my kids turned out pretty well too!

Having your kid arrested for breaking into the stash of christmas gifts? Psycho!
