My husband and I were discussing this very thing not long ago. When they raised the taxes on cigarettes, we started thinking about the things that should also be taxed as a sin tax. Fast food, junk food, video games… But I don’t really want to pay extra taxes on anything, so tobacco and alcohol it is!

Very true! Freah fruits and veggies are expensive. I know alot of poor people can’t afford much of that.

Fast food is so expensive because it is full of cheap fillers like flour, and places like McDonald’s are using slash and burn agriculture in place like Brazil to raise cattle so it is cheap. i have so many food allergies, I can’t even walk into a restaurant, and since I found out about my allergies, our grocery bill has doubled, in the winter, when things aren’t in season, our grocery bill can triple. It is ridiculous. i can’t starve myself (or maybe I could, but that would be a whole other set of problems), but I can’t afford to eat all the healthy stuff int he grocery store either. I try to plant gardens, and that helps, but in the dead of winter when there is three feet of snow in the ground, there really isn’t much to do but go and spend the money I don’t have on food I can’t afford :s

hmmm it’s became so expensive ,…Shall we eat junk food everyday ? I don’t think so,..or this because of Global Financial Crisis ?

You are absolutely right about the prices. I’ve actually planted my first garden this year but I’m a cherry eater as well and I can’t grow them over one season. Guess I’ve got to plan a little further in advance. I have no real idea what I’m doing so if anything grows I’ll be thrilled!

My girlfriend love chocolate, but you know, I always tells her is bad and moreover she will get fat, but sometime… this sweet and loving chocolate are really making a desire in me too. I always try to force myself not to look at them… but of course I seldom eat them…
