Sending Your Kids to the Lions Den

My last post was about my son being robbed and assaulted on his way home from school.  Since that post the kid who assaulted him has plead guilty to felony robbery and will be sentenced next week.  In the mean time he was placed in an alternative school but is still out running around doing [...]

Kids 4 Sale!!

1535944_blog-featuredSeven days down seven to go!  Ahh Christmas break.  Time to hang out with the kids, spend some quality time, bond – yeah right!  When did my boys turn into such obnoxious little farts?  Drama Queens? Messy ungrateful little punks.  Here’s an example converstion with Joseph, my 9 year old.  Me – “Joe, could you put your shoes away?” Joe - Loud and very dramatic “Why do you make me do everything!!!!You’re the worst mom ever !!!”  Really, they are very sweet, loving children.  It’s just that we have these evil spirits in the house, called Belcher Boys, that sneak into their bodies every once in a while and make them behave like the evil spawn of whatever.  If I’m babbling and not making much sense it’s because my children are making me insane. Where did my sweet little babies go?   If I have to watch Barbie Diamond Castle. while dodging legos and nerf  balls and listening to the soundtrack from HALO while picking bubble gum out of my daughters hair, ONE More Time, I think I will Run Away.  I told them if they don’t start behaving I’m going to run away and buy my own apartment and let them come visit me (once a week).

An unfortunate side effect of growing up I’m afraid, though very, very true. I remember the days when my brother used to be nice…now he throws shoes at me when I tell him he has a gambling problem.

    I feel your pain.
